I was born and raised in the Inland Empire of Southern California and enjoy being centrally located to the diversity there. Active in scouting, both before and after earning the rank of Eagle Scout, I enjoy spending time outdoors. Another love of mine is technology. I grew up as a science geek, playing with computers, chemistry sets, magnets, and electronics gadgets. That passion for knowledge continues with daily self-guided training in both technology and creative arts. After graduating from high school, I began studying electronics engineering in college at the age of 17. I took a two-year break from schooling to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Boston and other parts of Massachusetts. Upon returning, I changed my major to Psychology and added Photography to my studies. I graduated with a degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from California State University - San Bernardino, and uses the knowledge gained there in all business relationships. I began developing websites in the late 1990s, and have performed many roles, including: PHP programmer, designer, HTML coder, photographer, quality assurance director, webmaster, IT project manager, information architect, MySQL database management and usability expert. My projects have included e-commerce, CRM, city code enforcement, entertainment, movie production, motivational speakers, small business, B2B, clothing, class/event registration, fan clubs, blogs, restaurants, newsletters, collectible art & photography, charities, beauty, games, sweepstakes, food services and information portals. I've been an IT Project Manager for the past several years, primarily focused on city/government, entertainment and small business websites. Those projects ranged from managing and upgrading CRM software used by thousands of residents each year, to redesigning a sheriff's department website with hundreds of pages of content. From 2005 to mid 2008, I have also been the Director of Quality Assurance for an Internet/New Media company, where my team reviewed hundreds of projects during development and after launch. My analysis and organizational skills are excellent, and I'm a great team member and leader. In early autumn, 2008, I transitioned to Development Project Manager within the global web team of Contiki Holidays, a youth travel service specializing in the 18-35 year-old market. In this role, I coordinated resources to enhance efficiency and promote the travel products for eight selling regions around the world. As a professional photographer, I have had the opportunity to photograph hundreds of weddings, family portraits and events. My images have been shown in touring exhibits, online galleries, the LA County Fair, and on display in countless homes. With over 20 years of experience, my passion is known and appreciated by all. I have also trained and mentored many people to become better photographers, and advised their investments in both time and equipment. Presently, I am studying fine art and seek to acquire talents learned from present and past masters of photography and other mediums. In my personal time, I enjoy photography, computers, cooking, gardening, being outdoors, social networking, and most of all, spending time with my wife and 3 children. |
